This is a home movie of a James Taylor playing a concert at the State Fair Music Hall in Dallas. The show was held on March 17th, 1971.

This 1887 letter is from an umbrella and parasol dealer in Philadelphia to a merchant in Louisville Kentucky. It tells the store owner that the traveling salesman from Hirsh & Brother will so be to in their state to take their order.

This is an 8mm Silent home movie of a Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne playing a concert at Memorial Coliseum in Dallas Texas. This was during Black Sabbath’s first tour in the United States and shows how young they were!
Richard Anthony Proctor was an English astronomer. He is best remembered for having produced one of the earliest maps of Mars in 1867 from 27 drawings by the English observer William Rutter Dawes.
This is a letter sent from Logansport Indiana in 1880, flaunting the coming of Professor Proctor. Proctor was traveling the United States giving his lecture on “The Poetry of Astronomy” or “The Birth and Growth of Worlds”.
This paper envelope was found at an estate sale in Pittsburg Texas. It has a very nice etching of Parson’s Business College in Kalamazoo Michigan. The cover is postmarked Kalamazoo on the front and Agricultural College Michigan on the back. Agricultural College later became Michigan State University and is still located in Lansing Michigan.
This is a home movie of the Moody Blues an English rock band consisting of keyboardist Mike Pinder, multi-instrumentalist Ray Thomas, guitarist Denny Laine, drummer Graeme Edge, and bassist Clint Warwick. This concert was in December of 1970 in Dallas Texas.
The USS Akron, a rigid airship commissioned by the U.S. Navy, crashed in 1933, killing 76. This postal cover was produced by the Lakewood Stamp Society to honor the lives lost. What makes this cover special is the fabric swatch attached to the back of the cover salvaged from the ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

This is footage of a Halloween costume parade that took place in downtown Kilgore Texas in the 1960s. The footage shows the shops downtown and what is now The Worlds Richest Area. This is a very cool trip back in time.
