Chicago’s The Great Northern Hippodrome is using a wonderful pocket-sized program to announce that starting June 17th, 1918 they will now have a dramatic theater company. This cool little booklet gives you a bio of the main actors in the new group. They will do four 50 minutes play every day, can you believe that? That is a lot of acting!!

CECIL KERN, a prominent member of the Great Northern Players, made her first appearance in the original “Man of the Hour” company, later playing in Henry W. Savage’s “Madame X”. Miss Kern recently made a decided hit in “The Lasso”, at the Lyceum Theatre, New York City.

ALLAN MURNANE played the leading male role in very successful “Mother Carey’s Chickens” for two years. Before that he was a member of the Northampton Players. She began with Maude Adams, playing the Brown Hen in “Chantecler” She played the ingenue role in “The Ghost Breaker” during its engagement at the Cort Theatre, Chicago. LARK TAYLOR received his training in Augustin Daly’s famous company, of which he was a member for several seasons. Since then he has constantly held important engagements with E. H. MINNA PHILLIPS has has a long and remarkably successful career. She has a repertoire of over three hundred different parts. She played with Rose Coglan in “Pes Woddington”. She followed Ethel Barrymore in the star part in “Sunday” and made a decided hit. She appeared in a prominent part in “Katinka” during its Chicago run.
